Kyabje Gelek Rimpoche and Jewel Heart are honored to host His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon in Michigan and invite you to this unique opportunity to receive the phowa and long life initiations from HH Drikung Kyabgon.
Drikung Rinpoche and the Drikung lineage itself is famous for its phowa, also known as the transfer of consciousness. Gelek Rimpoche points out this ritual “sort of gives you a glimpse of what your future life could be.” This phowa was only given publicly in Old Tibet every twelve years, on the monkey years.As 2016 is the year of the Fire Monkey, this is a very auspicious time to attend this ceremony from HH Drikung Kyabgon.
