Je Tsongkhapa, the great Tibetan scholar, yogi and author, founded the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism in the late 14th century. He has been highly influential in the transmission and evolution of both the sutra and tantra aspects of Mahayana Buddhism that flourished in Tibet over the last six centuries. This year is the 600th anniversary of the passing away of this great master.
Demo Rinpoche will teach about Je Tsongkhapa’s life story and the evolving efforts that continues through the lineage of his disciples, including the Dalai Lamas and Panchen Lamas to the present day.
