All are invited to attend and bring a food offering of fruit, bread, cookies or pastries. Bring bell and damaru if you want to play them. Hope everyone can make it for this extra-auspicious event!
Please note: we have scheduled this early to make it easier for those who have difficulty driving at night to attend.

Demo Rimpoche teaches Introduction to Vajrayana via webinar, October 19-20
Vajrayana, or Buddhist tantra, is the esoteric side of Mahayana Buddhism, and is based on the desire to become enlightened for the sake of all beings. Speaking from NYC, Demo Rimpoche will introduce us to the four levels of tantra as practiced in the Tibetan tradition of Buddhism.
Time: Sat., Oct. 19, 10 am – noon, and 2 pm – 5 pm. Sun. Oct. 20, 2 pm – 5 pm

Meditation Day in the woods, Sunday October 27
Come join in a day of guided, concentrated and analytic meditations, at the Affelder House in the West Woods Park in Geauga county. The cabin has heat, running water, and a refrigerator and microwave. It is secluded in beautiful woodlands for those who want to practice walking meditation, forest bathing or a quiet hike for a session or two. It is fine to attend all or part of the day’s sessions.
Please bring a bag lunch, and whatever cushions you would like to meditate on. Chairs are available, and we can bring cushions from the center if you let us know you need them.
Place: Affelder House, 15139 Chillicothe Road (Route 306), Russell Township in Geauga county. The entry road is marked with a small sign, on the east side of 306 between Ridgewood Lane to the north and Chagrin Mills Road to the south.
Time: 9:30 am to 5 pm. The cabin will be open at 9:30 to set up your seat and sip a cup of coffee or tea if you like. The first meditation will begin at 10:15. Late arrivals after that should come at 11-11:15, 12-12:15 or 2-2:15 and so on to avoid disturbing those meditating. Lunch will run 1 to 2 pm.
Cost: Free of charge and open to all. Donations to Jewel Heart are always welcomed.

Mind and Meditation Course
The final two sessions for this webinar course are October 17 with Glenn Mullin on Emptiness Meditation, and October 24 with Robert Thurman on Introducing Vajrayana Meditation. Jewel Heart Cleveland will be open for these broadcasts, and all are invited to attend.

Medium Lam Rim Course to resume October 29
The discussion class using transcripts of Demo Rimpoche’s teachings on Tsongkhapa’s Medium Lam Rim will resume on Tuesday, October 29, 7-8-30 pm.
