Jewel Heart Chicago coalesced to embrace the authentic and accessible teachings of Gelek Rimpoche.

Over the years we have hosted numerous teachers, public events, discussion groups, dharma classes, guided meditations and local sangha celebrations, influenced by Rimpoche’s teachings. Although we lost our dedicated physical space during the pandemic, we continue to seek out and find venues to share the dharma with others.

Our most recent public talk featured Jewel Heart Spiritual Director, His Eminence Demo Rinpoche, discussing how to “Choose Compassion Over Fear,” in the community room of a local church.

This past Fall, we held a multi-week course on The Four Noble Truths in a sangha member’s office space.  Our sangha group also meets online.   

In addition to local sangha gatherings, current plans call for a public dharma talk in Chicago by Demo Rinpoche in Spring, followed by an in-person discussion group, book club, or practical course of study based on the teaching.
