INTRODUCTION TO TIBETAN BUDDHIST MEDITATION

Saturday, April 26, 10am – 12pm

Experience genuine Tibetan Buddhist meditation practices for yourself in this two hour workshop. Meditation is an important tool on the spiritual path, helping to develop focus, stability, insight and understanding. In addition to the more commonly known concentration methods, we will also experience guided analytical and visualization meditations on various topics. All are welcome.

JE TSONG KHAPA DAY & GANDEN LHA GYEMA RETREAT Friday – Sunday, December 27 – 29

Please join us for Je Tsong Khapa Day and a Ganden Lha Gyema Retreat. The Jewel Heart Ann Arbor Center will open at 6:30 AM on Je Tsong Khapa Day, Friday December 27, for a Ganden Lha Gyema retreat. Each session will begin with the Ganden Lha Gyema, followed by a brief guided visualization meditation, recitation of the Migtsema mantra and a short dedication. Sessions will range from 1 – 1 1/2 hours in length.

At 7:00 PM on Friday, December 27, all are welcome to attend the Je Tsong Khapa Day Lama Chopa and Tsoh.

Individuals may prefer to begin the Ganden Lha Gyema Retreat before Friday. Some may prefer to have the Tsoh at the conclusion of their retreat. It is up to each individual to decide how he/she would like his/her retreat to take shape. Except for the first night with the Tsoh, the official closing time will be 9:00 PM.

DEATH and DYING: How to Handle Spiritually

Saturday, January 25, 10am – 12pm & 2 – 4pm

Death and the dying process, while difficult to face, is certain reality for us all. In this workshop we will explore compassionate methods to help ease the passage of our loved ones as well for our own time of transition. The stages of the dying process, as understood in Tibetan Buddhism, will also be presented. All are welcome.

GOM PRACTICE WEEKEND
Friday, Saturday & Sunday, March 14 – 16

GOM, or concentrated meditation, is an essential tool to help develop peace and joy, and ultimately wisdom. This silent weekend includes practice with light guidance. Instructors will be available for your assistance.
