MINDFULNESS 1 – CLARITY AND INSIGHT THROUGH MEDITATION

Meditation provides us with a clear and stable mind; necessary for a happy life and the foundation for deepening our spiritual journey. This course offers hands-on experience with the basic elements of meditation using breath, posture and techniques for coping with distractions and laxity of the mind.

March 23 – ENDERS GAME (2013)
Young Ender Wiggin is recruited to lead the fight against the Formics, a technologically superior alien species. Tested and honed into an empathetic killer, he begins to despise what he does as he learns to fight in hopes of saving Earth and his family.
April 27 – KUBO and the TWO STRINGS (2016)
A young boy named Kubo must locate a magical suit of armor worn by his late father, a legendary Samurai warrior, in order to defeat a vengeful spirit from the past. With deep themes of rebirth and reincarnation, it is simply an amazing work of animated achievement in cinema.

Concentration Meditation – Help yourself through meditation. Facilitators provide basic guidance with multiple concentration meditation sessions using the breath as the point of focus. Open to all levels of experience.
White Tara Guided Healing Meditation – Tara is the mother goddess of Tibetan Buddhism, known for her quick and compassionate activity. She is particularly associated with healing and long life. Join us for a guided meditation using visualization techniques to overcome physical, mental and emotional suffering.
Tai Chi – Learn the ancient art of meditation in motion with this ‘soft style’ martial art emphasizing relaxation and balance. Suggested donation $5
