Morality and Three Higher Trainings
Key to a complete spiritual practice are the Three Higher Trainings of Morality, Concentration and Wisdom. Morality in particular consists of 1) restraining from wrong doing 2) accumulating virtue and 3) helping others. By using concentration and analysis together, wisdom can develop. Prayers in Tibetan Buddhism lay out the sequence of the practice, from motivation, actual practice and dedication.
